Former People's Power lawmaker Kim Young-sun, a key party to the alleged intervention of President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Gun-hee in the nomination, attended the prosecution and was investigated for nearly 12 hours, but completely denied the allegations.

After being investigated by the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office at around 10:10 p.m. last night, former lawmaker Kim said in a prosecution investigation that he made it clear that he had nothing to do with the Future Korea Research Institute.

Regarding the suspicion of nomination, he/she said that he/she has never asked Myung or Kim to nominate him/her, and that the correlation is very weak because the presidential election helps the nation in an integrated manner.

I didn't hear about President Yoon's continued contact with Myung Tae-kyun even after taking office, explaining that the exact amount he gave to Myung was about 60 million won.

The prosecution will call back former lawmaker Kim for further investigation at 10:30 a.m. today (4th).

Earlier, the prosecution called Kim as a suspect to the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office yesterday (3rd) on charges of handing over 90 million won to Myung Tae-kyun dozens of times after being elected in a by-election in June 2022.
