According to the legal community on the 3rd, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office's Women and Children Crime Investigation Division 2 (Chief Prosecutor Park Yoon-hee) indicted A, the chairman of a mid-sized construction company, without detention on charges of special assault and detection of contents such as electronic records on the 30th of last month.
Mr. A, in his 60s, is accused of assaulting Mr. B by hitting him in the head with a bottle of wine at his home in Seoul in May because he suspected his wife B's affair, who was more than 20 years younger than him.
As a result, B suffered six weeks of injuries before treatment, including a fractured rib.
The prosecution also charged A with detecting contents such as electronic records, believing that A secretly stole B's laptop and performed digital forensics (detecting and collecting electronic information such as files) without B's consent.
