The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's financial crime investigation team arrested and sent a man in his 40s on charges of fraud and other charges on the 23rd of last month.
In addition, the police sent an acquaintance who lent his name to Lee when he purchased the villa without detention on charges of violating the Real Name Real Estate Act.
After retiring in 2022, Lee is accused of failing to return 6 billion won worth of lease deposits to tenants while running a villa rental business in Gwanak-gu, Seoul.
According to the police investigation, it was confirmed that Lee showed his civil service card to the victims at the time of the contract and reassured them.
