This morning, the temperature in Gunnae-myeon (Panmunjeom) in Paju, Gyeonggi-do fell to minus 0.7 degrees Celsius and Baekhak-myeon in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do fell to minus 0.1 degrees Celsius.

In Gangwon-do, the temperature in Hwacheon's in-house area dropped to minus 0.1 degrees Celsius, marking the second inland cold after Pyeongchang's in-house temperature on October 25.

In addition, temperatures dropped by more than 10 degrees from yesterday, including 5.6 degrees in Seoul, 1.9 degrees in Cheorwon, 3.7 degrees in Ganghwa, and 5.6 degrees in Geochang, making it the coldest this fall.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said that temperatures across the country have dropped significantly due to the expansion of continental high pressure accompanied by cold air overnight, and that Seoul morning temperatures will become colder by midweek, with temperatures dropping to 4 degrees tomorrow and 2 degrees the day after tomorrow, the beginning of the season.

In particular, in the central part, North Jeolla Province, and some inland areas of North Gyeongsang Province, the morning temperature is expected to drop to around 0 degrees Celsius, and some places are expected to see the first ice.

The cold below the usual temperature is expected to continue until Thursday, the beginning of the year, and then gradually ease as the temperature recovers from Friday.
