The only hydrogen product inspection certification center in Korea was built by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, Wanju-gun, and Korea Gas Safety Corporation, which spent 49.9 billion won from 2021.
The certification center is in charge of systematic safety evaluation and certification of hydrogen products, supporting hydrogen product start-ups, and supporting overseas certification acquisition of companies wishing to export.
Governor Kim Kwan-young said, "The hydrogen product inspection and certification center will play a big role in establishing Jeonbuk as a hydrogen industry center," adding, "We will do our best to help Jeonbuk contribute to overcoming the climate crisis based on safety and reliability."
