First vote 'Dixville Notch', Trump and Harris tied 3 to 3.

Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris and Republican former President Donald Trump tied the vote with three votes each in Notch, Dixville, New Hampshire, amid the ongoing vote for the 47th U.S. presidential election.

The vote involved four Republicans and two voters who did not identify their party affiliation.

Dixville Notch, a small town on the Canadian border in the northern tip of the U.S. state of New Hampshire in the northeast, has been cutting the first tape of the U.S. presidential election for more than 60 years since 1960, when Democratic candidate John F. Kennedy and Republican candidate Richard Nixon faced off.

New Hampshire has a rule that allows municipalities with fewer than 100 residents to start voting at midnight and release their results immediately.

In Dixville Notches, voters have traditionally gathered immediately after the opening of polling stations at midnight (midnight) on presidential election day to vote and tally and announce the results.

Dixville Notch voters have ruled in favor of Democrats in both of their past presidential elections.

In 2016, Democrat Hillary Clinton won four votes, Republican Donald Trump won two, and in 2020, Democrat Joe Biden won five votes, and Republican Trump won zero.

The three-to-three tie at the Dixville notch is another example of how the presidential election is being held in a tight race that makes it difficult to predict the outcome.
