This agreement is designed to make Busan Port a coffee logistics center in Asia and to foster Busan as a leading city in the Asian coffee industry.
Honduras and Costa Rica, the world's seventh and 14th largest coffee producers, plan to support Busan to become an export coffee logistics base in Asia through this agreement.
Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon said, "We are promoting various policies to foster it as a world-class coffee city, such as hosting this year's World Barista Championship in Busan."
