Recently, fake news whose authenticity is unclear has spread as rumors spread that the North Korean military has been dispatched to Ukraine by supporting Russia.

The Ukrainian daily Kyiv Post reported on the 4th (local time) that some videos spread on social media were not related to the North Korean military. An X (X, formerly Twitter) user named

{Intelligence Front} posted a video showing North Korean troops who recently arrived in Ukraine amazed by the meals served on the battlefield.

"The North Korean soldier who arrived in Ukraine to fight for Russia is surprised by the variety and hearty food served. He said, 'I'm eating on the battlefield. Look at this meat. It's a big beef and instant ramen,' he wrote.

Kiu Post reported that the man in the video is speaking Chinese, not Korean, and is likely to be Chinese.

He also explained that although it may be true that the man in the video is on the front lines inside or around Ukraine in light of the Russian conversation heard around him, it will not be the North Korean military dispatched to Russia.

The authenticity of the video of the pro-Ukrainian Telegram channel, which received great attention earlier for interviewing a North Korean soldier who lost all of his colleagues and survived alone, has not been identified for several days.

Last month, a Russian mercenary from China claimed that all eight North Korean officers were killed on the first day of the deployment of the Ukrainian front line on the same channel, but no evidence was provided to support it, the newspaper added.

The international civic group "Inform Napalm" warned that fake news related to the North Korean military could damage Ukraine.
