The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which has been auditing the Korea Football Association since July, has demanded a severe disciplinary action against Chairman Chung Mong-gyu beyond suspension.
The reason is that it operated arbitrarily and unfairly from the appointment of the national team coach to the process of building the soccer center, and it remains to be seen whether the measures will actually be taken.

The most important thing in the announcement of the final audit results of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is also the appointment of a coach for the national soccer team.
As in the interim announcement last month, the process of appointing directors Hong Myung-bo and Clinsman was unfair and opaque.
In addition, the problem of the construction process of the soccer center has been added.
He pointed out that he agreed to a loan contract of 61.5 billion won without the approval of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and created an office space that was not discussed in the process of receiving 7.7 billion won in state subsidies.
In addition, it was found that 42 national team leaders did not go through the process of appointing the board of directors and unfairly exercised the right to pardon 100 disciplinary people.
Based on this, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's action against Chung Mong-kyu, president of the Korea Football Association, is a demand for severe disciplinary action beyond suspension of qualifications.
This includes 'removal' and 'dismissal'.
The Korea Football Association must notify the results after a disciplinary decision within a month, but it is questionable whether it will actually happen with Chairman Chung Mong-gyu holding out.
[Choi Hyun-jun / Inspector General of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism: The current regulations are that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has the authority to demand disciplinary action, and the Korea Football Association's Fair Committee will decide on that]
The measures taken against the appointment of current head coach Hong Myung-bo also tilt his head.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has notified them to improve procedural issues, including re-election, but in the end, the Korea Football Association is in a position to take care of it.
This means that Hong may be appointed again by going through the process again.
[Choi Hyun-jun / Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Inspector: The contract signed with Coach Hong Myung-bo will have all options, whether it is maintained, changed or canceled by the Korea Football Association. It's a matter for the Korea Football Association to decide autonomously.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism audit, which began in July when public opinion about the Korea Football Association was worsening, ended like this.
In the future, we have to wait and see how the demand for disciplinary action and related measures will be made, but there could be another controversy.
