According to AFP on the 5th, the Kaoki Fox Open Zoo in Chonburi, Thailand, released a video on social media (SNS) the day before predicting the outcome of the US presidential election.
The zoo placed a plate containing fruits such as watermelons with the names of former President Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in Thai, respectively.
Mudeng, who was in the water, slowly stepped out and approached former President Trump's plate among the two plates to eat the fruit.
NBC's "The Tonight Show," a popular American TV talk show, released its own poll in September featuring Mudeng, Vice President Harris and former President Trump.
Mudeng topped the list with 93% support, while Vice President Harris and former President Trump's approval ratings were 4% and 3%, respectively.
In other words, the zoo responded to the survey conducted for fun with Mudeng, which is receiving a lot of attention from the United States beyond Thailand and Asia, with a 'prediction event' ahead of the US presidential election.
Posting the video, the Khao Ki Fox Zoo also posted on Instagram, such as, "I'm too busy to give up my (voting) rights, but I want to predict the winner."
Mudeng, a female pygmy hippo born in June, is attracting attention for her plump and cute appearance.
Thailand is actively using Mudeng, which is attracting international attention, to promote tourism.
