Gyeonggi Province has set aside a budget for next year at 38.78 trillion won.

Compared to the previous year, it increased by KRW 2.5871 trillion and 7.2%, the largest ever.

It is more than twice as high as the government's 3.2% budget growth for next year.

In the economic downturn, it is necessary to expand finances to boost the economy.

[Kim Dong-yeon / Governor of Gyeonggi-do Province: During the economic crisis, I had the experience of expanding finances with an extra budget or even a revised budget, and sound finances after overcoming the crisis. For now, expansionary finance is the answer.]

In order to solve the difficulty of securing finances, the province decided to issue 490 billion won (496.2 billion won) of local bonds.

It is the first time in 19 years that local bonds have been issued since 2006.

The Gyeonggi-do budget reflected investment in high-tech industries, climate funds, youth opportunities, and 360-degree care.

It also included the construction of the Gyeonggi-do Independence Hall for national integration and a budget to support multicultural families.

In particular, in order to revitalize the local economy, we decided to provide 20 billion won to discount coupons for agricultural and fishery products.

[Kim Dong-yeon / Governor of Gyeonggi-do: We will reduce the burden of shopping bags and grow the local economy. [20 billion won in discount coupons for agricultural and fishery products and 5 billion won in 'Tongken Sale' to revive the economy]

Governor Kim Dong-yeon emphasized that next year's budget focused on "humanomics" centered on people.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Council will deliberate on the budget plan at a regular meeting of the provincial council, which will be held until the 19th of next month.
