The Korea Baseball Organization and KBO held a reward and punishment committee and announced that they decided to impose sanctions after deliberating on eight players, including Doosan's outfielder Kim In-tae, infielder Park Gye-beom and pitcher Lee Seung-jin, judging that it constitutes an act of "dignity damage."
Oh Jae-won, who is on trial for drug administration, has been found to have threatened junior players with unstable first-team status since 2021 to prescribe sleeping pills on behalf of him.
The players have not played since Doosan reported it to the KBO Clean Baseball Center in April.
