The Economist reported that the U.S. presidential election outcome prediction model showed a 56-43 victory for Vice President Harris and former President Trump.
Analysts say that if the presidential election is held 100 times, Vice President Harris wins 56 times and former President Trump wins 43 times.
The day before the vote, the Economist had predicted a 50-50 win for both candidates, but in a day, Harris' victory rate rose sharply.
The economist said Harris is leading on average in surveys conducted by pollster AtlasIntel in rival states Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
The election forecasting model developed by the Economist with Columbia University is simulated by adding external factors such as local economic statistics, past election results, and population characteristics to state-level polls.
