Prosecutors investigating the money envelope case at the Democratic Party of Korea National Convention have once again demanded that suspected lawmakers attend.

On the 1st, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office sent 6th to 7th requests for attendance to Kim Young-ho, Min Byeong-deok, Park Sung-joon, Baek Hye-ryeon, and Jeon Yong-gi of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Hwang Un-ha of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party.

Prosecutors are said to have asked them to appear by the middle of this month, and are also considering prosecuting them without investigation if they refuse to comply with the summons.

On April 28, 2021, they are accused of accepting money envelopes containing 3 million won each from former lawmaker Yoon Kwan-seok at a meeting of lawmakers supporting former representative Song Young-gil.

As soon as the prosecution concludes its investigation into them, it is also expected to speed up its investigation into other lawmakers suspected of accepting envelopes of money from former lawmaker Yoon on April 29 of the same year.
