A couple was killed or injured at around 5:30 p.m. today (5th) in a two-story detached house in Jiphyeon-myeon, Jinju-si, Gyeongsangnam-do.
The fire was extinguished in 30 minutes, but the husband in his 70s, who was unable to escape due to disability, died, and the wife, who is in her 60s, was seriously injured and is being treated in the hospital.
Police and fire authorities are conducting on-site inspections to see if the fire broke out due to electric wheelchair charging or other electrical causes.
