A prison sentence has been confirmed for the perpetrator of "workplace harassment" who killed a 25-year-old young man.

According to the legal community on the 6th, the Supreme Court confirmed the original ruling, which sentenced A (41), who was indicted on charges of intimidation, assault, and violation of the Information and Communication Network Act, to two and a half years in prison, as a decision to dismiss the appeal the previous day.

A is accused of assaulting the victim Jeon Young-jin on the phone 86 times between March and May last year, threatening him 16 times, and punching him in the head.

Also, "○○ like ○○○○ I'm going to kill you completely. Let's get together from tomorrow morning. He used abusive language such as, "You beggars ○○," "You ○○○," "Do you want to get hit every day and start in the morning?" "Even if there is no concept, there should be no concept," and "As soon as I come tomorrow morning, I'm 12 batta."

Young-jin died on May 23 last year. An auto parts company he attended in Sokcho was a small company with less than five employees, including the perpetrator A. It was his first job for Young-jin, and A was his first boss with 20 years of experience.

The first trial said, "As a boss at work, the defendant assaulted the victim several times, repeatedly verbally abused and threatened her. The victim suffered almost every day and died young. This case shows extreme cases of workplace harassment or workplace abuse," he said, sentenced to two and a half years in prison and arrested in court. An appeals court hearing will be held on the 5th of next month.

A argued at the appeal trial that there was another reason for Young-jin's death, but the court refused to accept it, saying, "It is enough to suspect that the defendant's crime acted as a significant factor in the victim's death."
