U.S. Republicans Recapture Federal Senate Majority in 4 Years..."At least 51 seats"

The U.S. Republican Party has regained its Senate majority in four years in the federal congressional election that coincided with the presidential election.

The Republican Party won Nebraska and Ohio among the places where the Senate election took place on the 5th local time, securing at least 51 seats out of the 100 seats, local media reported.

Republicans won federal Senate elections in West Virginia and Ohio, adding two more seats.

As a result, Democrats, including independents, who held majority seats after the midterm elections two years ago, will give Republicans majority seats in the federal Senate starting in January next year.

The House of Representatives, which selects all 435 new members, is still uncertain which of the two parties will have the majority.
