Yoon explained that the South Korean government delegation visited Ukraine to discuss the response to Russia-North Korea military cooperation and is discussing a visit to Ukraine as a special envoy for in-depth consultations.
He then said that our government will also communicate closely with NATO in the process of consultations with Ukraine in the future.
Rutter said North Korea's military is likely to enter the war in Ukraine in earnest in the near future and has decided to set up a special task force to strengthen NATO-EU cooperation in response to growing security threats.
He said he hopes to continue close communication and cooperation between South Korea, Ukraine and NATO, and that NATO will strengthen defense cooperation with South Korea in the mid- to long-term.
This is the third call since the inauguration of Secretary-General Rutter on the 1st of last month.
The presidential office said it will respond firmly to North Korea's provocations and threats with the international community while reviewing various countermeasures against Russia's military closeness that threaten our core security interests.
