A college student who hit and killed a cyclist while driving drunk has been arrested.

Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Court issued an arrest warrant for a 22-year-old college student A, who is suspected of running away after causing a death accident due to drunk driving, saying there is a risk of running away.

Mr. A is accused of driving an SUV at 4:10 a.m. yesterday (5th) in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, hitting an electric bicycle driver and running away without any action.

The cyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to the hospital but eventually died.Mr.

B is a self-employed person who ran an unmanned laundry room, and reportedly had an accident while on his way to work from dawn.

The police urgently arrested A in an officetel about 1.5km away in three hours through CCTV footage.

After the accident, A was found to have attempted to destroy evidence, such as removing the vehicle's black box memory card, and attempted so-called "drinking" by lying to a police officer that he had "come home and drank."

Before the accident, A had a third round of drinking with acquaintances such as college seniors and juniors in Bokjeong-dong, Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, and then drove a Santa Fe car under his mother's name, causing an accident and running away.

It turns out that A was revoked for driving under the influence three years ago when he just became an adult, but he got his license again in March.
