A fire broke out on the fifth floor of the villa in Yangjeong-dong, Busan, at around 3:40 a.m. today (7th) and was extinguished in 50 minutes.
A resident in his 40s fell during the evacuation process and was taken to a hospital, but he died.
Police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire based on a nearby resident's statement that the fire started with a "popping" sound.
