The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said it has blocked advertisements and requested administrative action against companies for 155 cases of confusing products that have not been licensed for medical devices as if they had been licensed or falsely advertised contrary to the permission.
It included products that claimed to be "key growth" and "treatment of plantar fasciitis" without permission for medical devices, and sales posts that were exaggerated unlike permits such as "no additives" and "no preservatives."
As there are many online advertisements that mislead consumers, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety asked you to check the authorization certification and report on the website (emedi.mfds.go.kr/portal) of the Medical Device Safety Bookstore) before purchasing a medical device.
The joint inspection of online unfair advertisements was conducted with the self-deliberation organization for medical device advertisements.
