The Ministry of Unification, a supervisory agency, is conducting an audit on allegations of gender discrimination by Cho Min-ho, chairman of the Inter-Korean Hana Foundation.

An official from the Ministry of Unification said, "We are conducting an audit of the chairman's inappropriate words and reports raised during the parliamentary audit."

Rep. Han Jung-ae of the Democratic Party of Korea demanded an audit by the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee on the 24th of last month, saying Chairman Cho made sexist remarks to a female employee who had taken an early childhood vacation.

It also raised suspicions about violating the rules on the prohibition of concurrent positions due to the maintenance of the CEO of Internet media and improper execution of business promotion expenses.

Hana Foundation said it plans to fully explain the allegations during the audit process, saying that most of them are not true, distorted, or exaggerated after self-examination of the allegations discussed in the National Assembly.
