France announced on the 7th local time that it summoned a North Korean diplomat in the country last week to protest the dispatch of troops to support Russia.

French Foreign Ministry spokesman Christophe Lemoan said on the 28th of last month that he had summoned a North Korean diplomat in Paris and "made it clear that North Korea's support for Russia would not be passed on."

"We are committed to working with our partners to respond firmly while keeping an eye on the situation," he continued.

North Korea does not have a separate diplomatic mission due to lack of diplomatic ties with France, and instead sends a delegation to Paris-based UNESCO to take over diplomatic affairs.
