Seongnam City said Mayor Shin Sang-jin visited the Wroclaw City Hall on the 7th (local time) and signed an agreement with Mayor Yachek Sutrik Wroclaw, promising exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, education, science and urban governance.
"The city of Wroclaw, which serves as a gateway to Western Europe, is an innovative city with excellent economic, technological and cultural infrastructure," Shin said at the signing ceremony. "This cooperation will contribute to the development of both cities and the promotion of relations."
Mayor Sutrik responded, "Wroclaw City is the city with the most investment by Korean companies in Poland and an area with active international exchanges," adding, "We hope to work closely with Seongnam City, which leads Korea's fourth industrial revolution."
The city of Wrocław is Poland's third largest city in southwestern Poland with a population of about 700,000 (4,000 Koreans) and has developed IT, high-tech and manufacturing industries.
