Man arrested for murder of woman at officetel in Gangseo-gu, Seoul

The Gangseo Police Station in Seoul arrested a man in his 40s on charges of murder at around 7:40 a.m. this morning.

A is accused of killing a woman in her 30s at an officetel in Hwagok-dong, Seoul early this morning.

Earlier, the fire department was dispatched at around 6:30 a.m. after receiving a resident's report that it smelled like burning in the hallway, and found a victim who died and asked the police for cooperation.

At the scene, a weapon was found along with a trace of a lightning bolt, and it was found that A was drunk.

The police believe that the woman was stabbed to death, and will investigate the exact circumstances of the incident against A.
