It was revealed that the Board of Audit and Inspection employees spent 560 million won on taxi expenses alone last year. It is more than 100 million won more than the budget set.

According to JTBC reports, the Board of Audit and Inspection's taxi spending has increased year by year, with a total of 567 million won spent last year alone on taxi expenses.

This is about 10 times higher than five years ago, when 56 million won was spent.Half of the

total usage was spent on employees leaving work after 11 p.m.

The Board of Audit and Inspection explained to the National Assembly that it was because of the increase in taxi costs and the increase in overtime work for employees, but it was also detected that they called taxis at karaoke and massage parlors at dawn.

Unlike the regulation that allows payments to be made before 7 a.m., there were cases where taxis were called to their homes after 7 a.m.

There are also taxi calls near golf practice ranges and Pilates centers, but it is pointed out that there is a lack of explanation on what kind of work is related as it is only marked as "near the National Assembly" in the actual details.

It was also discovered that 160,000 won was spent on taxi fares when traveling to provincial areas.

In response, the Board of Audit and Inspection explained, "I did not know all the individual usage details, but I used them in relation to work."
