In order to promote regions and small cities that suffer from population decline and economic downturn, the Korea Broadcasting Advertising Promotion Agency will push for deregulation and revitalization of local broadcasting.

Kobaco, the Korea Broadcasting Advertising Promotion Corporation, declared the 2030 Kobaco Initiative as a public advertising agency leading the advertising and media industry at the press center this morning (8th).

Kobaco plans to gradually ease regulations on prohibited broadcasting advertisements, such as medical care, folk liquor, and formula, centered on regions and small cities.

It also plans to greatly expand support for broadcast advertisements by local small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners to strengthen its public role for regions suffering from population decline.

Kobaco said it will expand the advertising industry, which has a large economic contribution effect, from the current level of 16 trillion won in sales to 20 trillion won in 2029.
