The Seoul Northern District Court sentenced Jeong and a group of corporations to a fine of 5 million won, respectively, who were handed over to trial on charges of violating the Sexual Violence Prevention Act.
The court pointed out that Chung and others prioritized the honor of the group and took disadvantageous measures in terms of personnel management, and that this is why the victim suffered a lot.
Jeong, who oversaw the administration of the denomination, was put on trial in April on charges of transferring an employee who sued an executive-level monk in the denomination on charges of forced harassment without reason.
It was also investigated that when an employee applied for protective measures to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission in opposition to the telegram, Jeong took additional measures to issue a standby order.
