The Federation of Korean Trade Unions said it is concerned that the government's unilateral launch of the research group without prior consensus with the labor community is a paving stone for the improvement of the minimum wage system.
The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions also claimed that many members of the research group are people who are in the position of the current government, and stressed that it is contradictory that those who decided the minimum wage range and caused disruptions in July would seek a solution.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor formed a research group of nine former and current public interest members of the Minimum Wage Committee today (8th), pointing out that the current minimum wage decision is made in a way that repeats the exhausting conflict.
