Forbes, a U.S. business magazine, predicted that Russia would launch a quick and strong offensive against Kursk at any cost before Trump's previous plan materialized.
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal said Trump's aides were discussing ways to freeze the current front line and suspend Ukraine's membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Forbes said that if such an end-of-war proposal materializes, Russia will occupy eastern Ukraine, but since it has to give up its territory, Kursk, it may be difficult for Putin to accept it.
Analysts say that if fighting intensifies in Kursk, North Korean troops deployed to the region are likely to be the first to be dangerous.
The U.S. think tank and the Korea War Institute pointed out in a report released on the 5th that "the Russian military is likely to put North Korean troops first and at the forefront and use them as leverage."
