U.S. Justice Department "Iran plotting another Trump assassination before presidential election"

The U.S. Department of Justice says Iran planned to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump before the presidential election.

The U.S. Department of Justice says it discovered in September that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard ordered 51-year-old Farhad Shakeri, a resident of Iran, to assassinate former President Trump.

At the same time, he explained that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard ordered Shaqueri, who was deported after immigrating to the United States and serving time for robbery, to submit a plan to assassinate Trump again on the 7th of last month, and that he would postpone the assassination after the presidential election if it was impossible.

In July, the FBI arrested a Pakistani man linked to the Iranian government for plotting the assassination of former President Trump.The U.S. Department of Justice
also indicted Shaqueri along with two accomplices, New Yorkers, saying he plotted to kill an Iranian-born U.S. citizen living in New York.
