At least 24 people were killed and more than 40 injured when a bomb exploded at a train station in southwestern Pakistan.According to Reuters, local police said a bomb exploded inside the train station on the 9th when an express train was about to depart from the train station in Quetta, Baluchistan.

Police officials say the explosion appears to be a suicide bomb, and no group has yet claimed to be behind the incident.

Baluchistan is a region frequently attacked by armed groups in southern separatists, and a series of attacks have recently taken place against Chinese participants in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Project, which is part of China's Belt and Road Initiative.
