Lim Hyun-taek, president of the Korean Medical Association, will vote for impeachment today (10th) after he was found to have caused controversy over his rude talk several times and demanded 100 million won from members of the association.

The medical association also decides whether to form an emergency committee, and attention is being paid to whether it will be a watershed in legislative conflicts through the settlement of internal strife in the medical community.

In August, four months after Chairman Lim Hyun-taek's inauguration, the Korean Medical Association's delegates voted on the formation of an emergency committee.

At that time, the emergency committee was not established due to the lack of a majority, but there were many criticisms that Chairman Lim did not play his role in the parliamentary conflict.

[Kim Kyo-woong / Chairman of the Korean Medical Association (August 31): Of course, the executive committee was held and the emergency committee was formed because of the poor performance of the executive committee, but our delegation will play a middle role so that we can change our minds.]

At 2 p.m. today, 71 days later, the extraordinary general meeting of representatives will be held again at the Medical Association Hall.

This time, in addition to the agenda for the establishment of the emergency committee, the bill of no confidence in Chairman Lim will be judged by delegates.

Those who proposed the impeachment claimed that Chairman Lim had tarnished his reputation as a doctor and doctor by pouring out rude comments and misrepresentations several times.

Chairman Lim was also found to have demanded 100 million won from an executive of the Seoul Metropolitan Council who slandered him.

If more than two-thirds of the delegates agree to attend more than three-thirds of the delegates, Chairman Lim will have to resign in disgrace after six months.

Chairman Lim, who sent a letter asking for a chance to make up for the mistake, is said to have focused on persuading delegates around the province since last week.

Some predict that the formation of the emergency committee, which requires a majority of approval apart from the no-confidence bill, is likely to be passed this time.

Some say that a new phase of legislative conflict will be set up depending on Chairman Lim's future and the establishment of an emergency committee, since the Korea Medical Association, the only legal organization, has not received support for medical and medical students.

In addition, attention is being paid to how the settlement of the internal strife in the parliamentary consultative body of the ruling and opposition parties, which will take its first step on the 11th, will affect the discussion on the solution.
