A fire broke out on the third floor of a one-bedroom building in Samcheon-dong, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do, at around 7:40 a.m. today (10th) and was extinguished in about 20 minutes.
Five women and residents in their 30s living in the room where the fire started were taken to the hospital due to excessive smoke inhalation and dizziness.
Police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
