The operator of "Nunu TV" who was illegally streaming domestic online video service (OTT) contents has been caught.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Copyright Crime Scientific Investigation Unit said it arrested the operator of the illegal streaming website Nunutiv on the 9th.

The illegal streaming website "TVWiki" and the webtoon illegal posting site "OKTOON" were also immediately shut down.

Nunu TV, which was opened in 2021, has been controversial for illegally streaming new OTT content at home and abroad.

Nunutiv, which has servers in the Dominican Republic, has continued to operate by changing its domain to avoid government crackdowns.

In April last year, when the Ministry of Science and ICT directly blocked Internet addresses every day, it declared the end of the service, but three days later, it resumed the service under the name "Nunut TV Season 2."

As government pressure continued, "Nunutivi Season 2" also ceased service again in June last year, but a year later, Nunutivi, whose workplace address is Paraguay, reappeared, prompting the copyright crime scientific investigation team to arrest the operator.
