It will be decided tomorrow (12th) whether Chairman Lee Ki-heung, who is seeking a third term as the chairman of the Korea Sports Council, will be approved for a second term.

The Korea Sports Council's Sports Fair Committee will hold a general meeting at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Olympic Hall in Bangi-dong, Seoul, to deal with Chairman Lee's approval for a second term.

The current sports association's articles of association require executives, including the chairman of the sports association, to serve a second term once, and to serve a third term, it must be reviewed by the Sports Fair Committee.

Chairman Lee emphasizes the need for three consecutive terms on the basis that he will lose his position as the International Olympic Committee and IOC members if he fails to serve consecutive terms as the chairman of the sports committee or fails to be elected as the chairman of the sports committee next year.

Separately, the sports association's labor union opposes Chairman Lee's second term and demands that he not run in the election.

Yesterday (10th), the Office for Government Policy Coordination requested an investigation into Chairman Lee on charges of obstruction of business, receipt of money and other items, embezzlement, and breach of trust, which is expected to serve as a negative factor for his bid for a second term.
