Ice cream brand Baskin Robbins released a product that reminds of the buzzword of Jang Won-young, a member of the girl group "IVE," but deleted it after controversy arose.

Baskin Robbins launched its new product 'Lucky Vicky Mozzi' on the 6th. Regarding this product, the brand promoted it as a product for test takers who are about to take the CSAT, saying that it contains four cute heart mochi in the shape of a four-leaf clover.

However, the controversy stems from the product name. "Lucky Vicky," which is included in the product name, is the first time Jang Won-young communicates with fans, and it is a combination of "lucky," which means good luck, and "Vicky," Jang Won-young's English kindergarten name.

Jang Won-young communicated with the fans and said, "I had a really delicious scones yesterday. But as expected, I'm lucky, I went and I just got a warm scone that just came out," he said, and since then, "Lucky Vicky" has become a meme used to mean so-called positive thinking.

Fans protested fiercely when it was revealed that Baskin Robbins used Jang Won-young as an advertising model or used his buzzword as a product name without asking for any understanding.

As the controversy grew, the brand eventually stopped selling the product on the 9th. However, criticism continues as it has quietly stopped selling products without expressing an apology or any other position.
