Police said, "Posco Pohang Steelworks Fire is scheduled to be jointly inspected tomorrow."

Pohang Nambu Police Station in Gyeongsangbuk-do will conduct a joint inspection of the POSCO fire site with the National Forensic Service tomorrow (12th).

The police plan to investigate the specific ignition point, the size of the damage, and whether the worker was negligent through identification.

POSCO said that the 3 Finex plant has stopped operating, but there is no production disruption as the blast furnace with an annual capacity of 10 million tons operates without any problems.

It also predicted that it would take about a week to restore the production facilities.

Earlier, at 4:20 a.m. yesterday (10th), a fire broke out at POSCO Pohang Steel Mill's 3 Finex plant in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and it was extinguished in five hours.
