Binggrae is pushing for the registration of the "banana-flavored milk" complex-shaped container as a national registered cultural heritage.

Binggrae said on the 10th, "We are currently preparing for data collection and other preparations," adding, "We have not decided when to apply for a registration."

The National Heritage Administration will register the state-registered cultural heritage that needs to be preserved and utilized among modern and contemporary cultural heritages that have been produced more than 50 years ago after deliberation by the Cultural Heritage Committee.

Banana-flavored milk, launched in 1974, is Binggrae's flagship product, and the shape of the product's container has also been maintained for the past 50 years.

The shape of the container was made with a moon jar motif and was reportedly designed to express the image of high-end products at the time of release.

Binggrae also registered the shape of a banana-flavored milk container as a trademark in 2016.

Previously, Hyundai Motor's automobile pony and the Venus washing machine, the first washing machine in Korea, were registered as national cultural heritage sites.
