Yes, the election process for the emergency committee chairman of the Korean Medical Association begins today.

We will announce the election to the delegates today and will receive candidate support tomorrow.

After that, the election will be held immediately on Wednesday.

Delegates will choose the chairman of the emergency committee through mobile voting and if there is no majority in the first round, the final vote will be held on the same day.

The first round of voting is scheduled at around 8 p.m. and the final round is scheduled an hour later, so a new emergency committee chairman will be elected before Thursday.

It is important who will become the emergency committee chairman, but in fact, the interest will be in who will become the new chairman of the medical association.

Kim Kyo-woong, chairman of the Korean Medical Association, said in a briefing yesterday that although the articles of incorporation require a new president to be elected within two months, the party will hold a presidential election as soon as possible within a month even if the regulations are revised.

It seems to be a judgment that the head of the medical association will not be left vacant for a long time in a situation where the legislative conflict is serious.
