We're going to announce the election today for delegates, apply for candidates tomorrow, and hold the election the day after tomorrow, Wednesday.

In the election, delegates will choose the chairman of the emergency committee through mobile voting, and if there is no majority candidate in the first round, a runoff election will be held on the same day.

It is important who will become the emergency committee chairman, but in fact, the interest will be in who will become the new chairman of the medical association.

Kim Kyo-woong, chairman of the Korean Medical Association, said in a briefing yesterday that although the articles of incorporation require a new president to be elected within two months, the party will hold a presidential election as soon as possible within a month even if the regulations are amended.

It seems to be a judgment that the head of the medical association will not be left vacant for a long time in a situation where the legislative conflict is serious.

If the chairman of the emergency committee of the Korean Medical Association is elected on Wednesday, he will face the task of deciding whether to participate in the ruling and opposition parties' consultative body.
