A biological mother in her 20s who left an 18-month-old baby unattended and killed has been put on trial.
The Busan District Prosecutors' Office said it has arrested and indicted A in his 20s on charges of child abuse and murder.
A was arrested last month on charges of habitually neglecting his 18-month-old son and killing him by not providing food properly.
At the time of death, the baby's weight was less than 5kg, less than half of the normal weight, and the birth was not reported.
