The Seoul Transportation Corporation's first labor union applied to the Seoul Regional Labor Relations Commission on the 1st to mediate the labor dispute as wages and collective bargaining were in pain, and said it would hold a vote for and against the strike if no adjustment was made by the 15th.
The union will hold a press conference on the 19th and announce the start of the strike if the approval for the strike is approved.
Currently, the corporation has offered a 2.5% pay rise next year and a workforce reduction, but unions are demanding higher pay increases along with more new hiring.
