"Hold a poker competition with 100 million won in prize money"...Arrested in illegal gambling place in partnership with Holdem Pub

The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's Criminal Investigation Unit held a poker competition in which they paid 100 million won in prize money in the Seoul metropolitan area and arrested 216 people, including four officials and 32 representatives of the Holdham pub.

They are accused of operating an illegal gambling center worth 16.9 billion won by giving them the right to participate in the top game or paying cash according to their ranking if they pay the participation fee.

Among them were the CEO of an advertising agency in his 40s who sold the game tickets as if he were sponsoring the competition operator by conspiring with the CEO of the Holdem pub and the operator of the Holdem pub who tried to remove the evidence by using the CEO of the company.

The police added that they collected about 6 billion won in criminal proceeds.
