The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency filed an arrest warrant today (11th) for six of the participants who were arrested for assaulting while protesting against police restraint at the "first general meeting for the resignation of the government" held by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and others last weekend.

They are accused of occupying the entire Sejong-daero road in Seoul and assaulting police officers during the rally on the 9th.

The police explained that they have applied for arrest warrants for six of the 11 arrested people who are suspected of crime.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office has requested arrest warrants for four of them.

Earlier, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency expressed regret that the rally turned into an illegal rally, such as assaulting police officers, and announced a plan to investigate it strictly.

In a related development, the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) urged the 11 people who were arrested to be released as soon as possible, claiming that the police had forcibly prevented extradition and caused violence.
