The Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Court, which was in charge of the Seongnam FC donation scandal, ordered the court to retire today (11th), saying it is illegal for a prosecutor who is not a member of the prosecution office to participate in the trial as a representative.

The court pointed out that if the case is complicated, a prosecutor will be needed to deal with the case for a long time, but the job agency is inappropriate because it seems to be an expedient.

In response, the prosecutors resigned from the court, saying that they should give up proving the prosecution and that they would immediately file an objection, and the trial was crippled.

Although the court took issue with this at the previous hearing, the prosecution countered that it was legal for a prosecutor belonging to another prosecutor's office to act on behalf of the prosecutor's office in accordance with the Prosecutor's Office Act and the prosecutor's work rules.

The Seongnam branch of the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office explained today (11th) that it has applied for a challenge to the court and will explain the unfairness of the court's decision.

The allegation of donations from Seongnam FC is that Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, conspired with city officials to attract donations from companies and provide convenience such as building permits when he was the owner of Seongnam FC.
