The Russian Federal Security Service, the FSB, said on the 11th local time that Ukrainian military intelligence attempted to capture Russian pilots and divert electronic warfare helicopters into Ukrainian military-controlled areas, but they were stopped.
The FSB did not say when the incident took place, but said it used information obtained from the operation to attack Ukrainian positions.
The Ukrainian side also said it had asked the pilot to poison other crew members in the same helicopter before driving the helicopter across the border.
The FSB also announced in July that Ukraine had tried unsuccessfully to seize a Russian aerospace force long-range strategic bomber.
At the time, Ukraine offered $3 million, about 4.2 billion won and Italian citizenship to Russian military pilots who would carry out the operation, the FSB claimed.
In August last year, Russian military pilot Maxim Kuzminov fled to Ukraine in a helicopter carrying Russian fighter parts but was found shot dead in Spain in February.
