North Korea ratified the "Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" signed with Russia in June.

North Korea's Korean Central News Agency reported that the "Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation" signed in Pyongyang on June 19 was ratified by Kim Jong-un's spirit.

The treaty takes effect from the date North Korea and Russia exchange the ratification.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the treaty on the 9th.

The new treaty signed by North Korea and Russia in June provides military support when one of North Korea and Russia is in a state of war, and it is considered to have effectively restored the military alliance.
