In July, a 4-year-old boy died of abuse by director B at a taekwondo center in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do, and CCTV footage of B's abuse has been released, shocking.

Shortly after the incident, B reportedly deleted the CCTV video to destroy evidence.

According to JTBC's report on the 11th, B hit A's head several times and left him upside down in a hole in the mat he had rolled up.

The released CCTV footage showed A, who was trapped in a hole about 20 centimeters wide and unable to breathe, struggling and screaming, "Save me."

After being left unattended for 27 minutes, A was taken to the hospital in a coma, but died of "hypoxic brain injury" 11 days after the incident. At that time, the child's bereaved family stopped life-sustaining treatment in consultation with the hospital in a situation where the possibility of recovery was slim.

Immediately after the incident, Taekwondo director B tried to destroy the evidence by deleting CCTV footage without taking any relief measures. As a result of the investigation, it was found that other children at the Taekwondo studio had been similarly abused by B.

"I put other children on the mat numerous times," he said, explaining, "It was a simple joke." He claimed that "A did not die from abuse, but died by stopping life-sustaining treatment," and legal battles with the bereaved family are expected.
