The People's Power urged the Democratic Party of Korea, ahead of the first trial of Lee Jae-myung's alleged violation of the Public Official Election Act, to stop the judicial pressure for Lee's bulletproofness.

Representative Han Dong-hoon held an "emergency meeting for obstruction of justice" with lawmakers of the ruling party, and criticized why many people should consume energy to prevent one person from being condemned under the liberal democratic national legal system.

Floor leader Choo Kyung-ho also stressed that the Democratic Party of Korea is focusing all of its power on a force demonstration to intimidate the judiciary, and that lawmakers are not the confidence of the party leader, but the public's empty stomach.

Yoo Sang-beom, the ruling party secretary of the Judiciary Committee, pointed out that the Democratic Party's intervention in the trial and obstruction of justice are only seen in mafia movies, and that the public is well aware that those who refuse to broadcast the trial live are guilty.

Rep. Joo Jin-woo said he would push for the establishment of a new "crime of obstruction of justice" in response to the Democratic Party's "crime of distortion of the law," and demanded a confident debate in front of the public.
